God the Father loves each one of us so much that he sent Jesus, his only son, to die as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus was whipped, beaten, and then nailed to a cross where he was left hanging until he died.

The amazing part is that Jesus did not have to endure this torture. He could have called out to God at any point and said, "Nevermind. I don't want to go through with this. Send your angels to deliver me from my enemies." and God would have done just that but Jesus knew that by sacrificing his life in this manner, he was providing a way out for all of us. It was payment in advance for all of our shortcomings. If it were not for this sacrifice, our sins would go unforgiven and we would spend eternity lost but because Christ paid this enormous price, when we reach the end of our earthly journey, we will have a place with him in his Heavenly kingdom.

Christ wants to be a part of your life. He wants a relationship with you. He wants you to get to know him and experience his love and all the wonderful benefits that come with being one of his children. When you make Christ a part of your life, he is there to talk with 24/7. He hears your every thought and knows your heart. He will provide your needs and even your heart's desires. He will guide you and keep you safe. He will comfort you in times of need. Just like a parent, God is grieved when we displease him but (again, like a loving parent) he will forgive us again and again as long as we are sincerely trying to live as he would have us to.

How much easier it would have been if God made us all perfect little beings that never did any wrong; never thought a mean thought, never said a mean thing, never hurt our fellow man/woman, but he loves us too much for that. He gave us free will. You have a choice. You have to want Christ to be a part of your life. The gift of salvation is yours for the asking. Don't put off such a monumental, life-changing decision because tomorrow is promised to no one. Simply ask Christ to come into your life and wipe your slate clean. Ask him to forgive whatever wrong things you may have done; the things you can think of and even the things you don't remember. Tell him you want to know his love on a personal level and that you want his gift of salavation that was paid for in full by his death on the cross. You can pray this prayer right where you are at this very moment. If you pray this prayer sincerely, you can rest assured that it is answered the moment you pray it and God will change your life for the better.

You will need some guidance on this new journey so I encourage you to find a local, Bible believing, Bible teaching Christian church. Visit different churches until you find one where you feel comfortable. Pray that the Lord will guide you in choosing a church that is right for you.

If this web site has helped you in making the decision to make Christ a part of your life, feel free to drop me a note and let me know. I will say an immediate prayer that you will experience God's love as I have in so many, many ways.

May the LORD bless you and keep you. May the LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. Amen.
